Ray White Rural appoints key specialist to drive performance in Queensland

Ray White Rural has announced the appointment of a new specialist in Queensland to drive a growth and productivity plan for 2019.

Former real estate agent and corporate business growth specialist Adrian Knowles has been appointed as the State Manager for Ray White Rural and Livestock in Queensland.

CEO of Ray White Rural and Livestock Stephen Nell said this was a critical investment in people at an important time in the company’s growth.

“This year is our 25th year of operation and with over 100 offices and over $1.6B in sales annually, we are ensuring our members have the best resources to run strong local businesses,” Mr Nell said.

“As state manager for Queensland’s Rural and Livestock network, Adrian Knowles brings more than a decade of sales experience coupled with change management, business growth, recruitment and training expertise.”

Hailing from Central Queensland, with the country in his blood, Mr Knowles relishes his time spent away from the big cities.

With a strong auction background from his time in Ray White’s corporate team also as an agent and sales team manager he understands what is required to be successful in any market.

“Adrian’s major focus is the growth of the network through sustainable recruitment, auction process and property marketing, as well as business processes and technology implementation,” Mr Nell said.

Mr Knowles said his sole focus will be to provide corporate support to the rural business owners in Queensland.

“There’s never been a tougher time on the land due to the oppressive drought so I am here to lend support. I will help our owners work on their business but I won’t work in it, as such,” Mr Knowles said.

“I also have ambitious plans to help our owners with their recruitment and business growth. I will also be a consistent face that our owners can rely on.”

Ray White Rural Queensland has almost 60 business across the state – plus Central and Outback Queensland – with a focus on sustainable recruitment in key locations.

The extended Ray White Rural and Livestock corporate team includes chairman Paul White: general manager (Queensland) Bruce Douglas; business development executive Jez McNamara; national digital lead Bella Pulj; head of innovation Lyndsey Douglas, state manager (Victoria) Jason Hellyer, state manager (NSW) Stewart Gordon, national livestock manager Bruce Birch, national administrator Sarah Emms, head of rural marketing Graham Lowe plus the chairman’s executive assistant Cathy Campbell.
