Media Release – 22 June 2011

AFTER years of preparation, planning and perfecting, the $150 million Mon Komo Oaks at Redcliffe is open for business, with titles now through.

The first purchasers have moved in to the much anticipated residential apartments and with almost 1000 room nights booked prior to opening late last month, Mon Komo Oaks is absorbing massive holiday accommodation demand in Redcliffe, for holiday makers and corporate travellers alike.

International operator Oaks Hotels and Resorts were appointed in February this year to manage the short stay serviced apartment operations. The renowned Oaks Hotels and Resorts offer hotel and resort apartment accommodation across Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.

Mon Komo Oaks Hotel manager Graham Caelli said Oaks Mon Komo has introduced a whole new level of quality accommodation to Brisbane and a fantastic base for corporate and leisure travellers.

When you look at other developments in the region, together with future growth projection it is obvious that there is a demand for higher end accommodation in Redcliffe and the opening of Oaks Mon Komo will satisfy that need, said Mr Caelli.

With a clear focus on the need to meet the expectations of guests and the performance required by investors, Oaks Hotels and Resorts are well placed to deliver successful outcomes on the management undertakings at Mon Komo.

The common link amongst our properties is the professionalism of management and a continued drive to achieve exceptional customer service.

Mon Komo is a unique product leading the way in Redcliffe, where guests can enjoy water views expanding the Redcliffe peninsula from their contemporary resort apartments in flexible one, two and three bedroom dual key accommodation configurations.

Comprising 184 residential and short stay apartments with a host of facilities including an integrated dining and retail precinct, Mon Komo will also house a hotel pub (opening in Spring 2011), six boutique commercial office spaces, a mezzanine level conference and function facilities, gymnasiums, pools and lush Caribbean inspired, sub-tropical gardens.

Kyko Group’s director Bill Jenkings said Mon Komo Oaks had already secured strong advance bookings and attributes part of this early success to the solid reputation of Oaks Hotels and Resorts.

We were very impressed with the operations and structure of Oaks’ management and are excited that Mon Komo Oaks is now open, said Mr Jenkings.

Over the last 24 months we have put extensive time into researching the right hotel operator and believe the appointment of Oaks Hotel and Resorts will ensure exceptional management standards at Mon Komo.

Oaks Hotels and Resorts are synonymous with quality and are a solid Australian publicly listed company. With their head office on the Sunshine Coast, they have extensive experience in the Brisbane market with the knowledge that goes hand-in-hand with being an international operator.

Redcliffe is on the verge of becoming one of Queensland’s most in-demand destinations for leisure and business travellers and we believe Oaks Mon Komo will meet demand for this growing market.

Mon Komo has been carefully designed to offer an enhanced lifestyle for residents who can live, work and play in the one hub. The appointment of Oaks Hotels and Resorts ensures exceptional management standards at Mon Komo.

Mon Komo Oaks is located in close proximity to a range of dining and entertainment options and by June 2011 the property will also be home to a new tavern with indoor and outdoor dining and retail facilities. Conference facilities will follow thereafter putting Redcliffe firmly on the map as the ideal destination to combine both business and leisure
