The 2022/23 CPD framework for NSW agents

The below courses are for the CPD year 2022/23 which ran from 23 March, 2022 - 22 March, 2023. Note that the 2022/23 CPD year deadline has passed.

CLASS 1 LICENSE

Real estate or Strata management Class 1 license holders must complete 9 hours of CPD each year:

GET 9 HR PACKAGE - $347*

Choose 3 from the following compulsory topics

  • Topic 1A - Covid Safe Business
  • Topic 1B - Supervision Guidelines & Rules of Conduct
  • Topic 1C - Cyber Security & Fraudulent Activity
  • Topic 1D - Industry Contracts Sales or Leasing
  • Topic 1E - Privacy
  • Topic 2A - Underquoting
  • Topic 2B - Disclosure of Material Facts
  • Topic 3B – Short-term Rental Accommodation CoC

Choose 2 of the following elective topics

  • Enhanced Communication Skills
  • Ethics & Professional Responsibility
  • Presentation Skills

Business Skills - specific to Class 1

  • Work Health and Safety
  • Coaching and Mentoring

Frequently asked questions

I'm an assistant agent - what do I need to do?

You'll need to complete at least three units from the CPP 41419 Certificate IV in real estate practice each year. If you'd like some recommendations, refer to the list above.

Can I choose my modules?

Yes you can, you can do that once you've completed the easy checkout process

Can I do the same modules I did last year?

Unfortunately - no - you'll need to choose different modules

What's the assessment made up of?

The assessment is made up of multiple choice and short answers to comply with NSW Fair Trading requirements

Can I take longer than 3 hours if I need to?

Yes, you can take as long as you like. The important point is that you spend a minimum of the required time on each module to meet Fair Trading's requirements

Will I get a certificate

Yes, we issue you with a block-chain certified digital certificate that can be produced in the event of an audit at any time.

The 2022/23 deadline has passed and I have not done my CPD

The harsh reality of the situation is that failure to comply with your CPD requirements may result in the suspension or cancellation of your license or certificate by Fair Trading however we still recommend that you still make the effort to do your CPD (whether it be through ourselves or someone else) as having it done even though it is late is better than not having it done at all should you be queried about it.

In previous years, Fair Trading has advised us that you should complete your CPD course without delay and advise Fair Trading via Email as to the reasons why you have not completed it before the deadline by emailing propertylicensing@customerservice.nsw.gov.au
