One of Australia’s leading real estate coaches, Josh Phegan, swapped his suit and tie for combat gear and completed the gruelling Sydney Tough Mudder event in April and has successfully raised over $20,000 for the Cancer Council.
Josh’s efforts spurred a huge response from agents throughout Australia and New Zealand and within the first 24 hours he had raised almost $10,000. “I am in awe of those people that have the courage to keep fighting each day and I wanted to show them that we all want them to win,” Josh said.
Josh Phegan trains agents throughout Australia and New Zealand in beating their competition and he mobilised support from about 40 agencies to help him fundraise.
The Tough Mudder 21 kilometre course was designed by British Special Forces and features 27 obstacles including barbed wire, electric shock, ice baths, mud pools and monkey bars to test the strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie of more than 30,000 competitors.
Josh was motivated by friends and family who have battled cancer. He said he was inspired by knowing that many people wake up each day and face their personal battles.
