Crown Resorts Limited’s (ASX: CWN) latest development of Crown Sydney, One Barangaroo, which will house Australia’s first branded residences, Crown Residences at One Barangaroo, is on a steady course to meet its completion in the first half of 2021.
The construction team has reached three critical building stages; completion of the podium structure which is capped off by two roof top infinity swimming pools, (one for the hotel guests and the other for residents), fitting the first of the hotel rooms, and installation of the glass facade on the twisting tower form designed to reflect Sydney’s blue skies and sunlit harbour.
The enviable “1 Barangaroo Avenue” address, located at the heart of Sydney’s new Barangaroo precinct surrounded by parkland and harbour, will house Australia’s first 6-star branded Residences.
These expansive Residences sit atop the 275m development overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
After only 14 months of vertical construction, the development stands almost 120m above the harbour with the first level of the Crown Residences, level 33, scheduled to be poured in July.
The hotel structure is currently progressing at a pace of one floor completed each week and is expected to be topped out by the Easter holiday.

Key construction milestones to date include:
- The lift core currently sits at level 29, the current highest point of construction at 120 meters above the water
- Hotel floors start at level 6 and are now up to level 21
- 78,000 cubic meters of concrete have been placed
- 14,000 tonnes of reinforcement have been placed
- 3,037 tonnes of structural steel in the podium structure placed to date
- Exterior glass panel installation has begun totalling over 7,000 when complete
- Podium exterior glass panels installation also in progress totalling over 1,500 when complete
