The Newcastle branch of BMT Tax Depreciation is proud to have sponsored the highest money-raising car in the 2012 Newcastle Variety Bash. They were also the Official Sponsor for the event. The Bash successfully raised much needed funds for Variety, ‘the Children’s Charity’.
The event saw 200 participants in 66 cars set off on a 2,333 kilometre journey through rural areas of New South Wales. The participants raised money and delivered medical equipment to Australian children on behalf of Variety.
Variety is a national not-for-profit organisation committed to helping children. All funds raised are used to purchase medical, mobility and educational equipment for those children around Australia who may be sick, disabled or disadvantaged in some way. Through grants to individuals and organisations, Variety supplies a wide range of equipment for children in need.
In addition to sponsoring all the official event vehicles for the Bash, BMT Tax Depreciation proudly sponsored Car 280, a 1972 V8 Mercedes Benz. The team received the Sunshine Coach Cup for raising over $35,000. In total, Car 280 raised $41,000 for the children of Variety, the highest amount of all the cars in the Bash!
BMT Tax Depreciation looks forward to continuing their relationship with Variety through participation in future events and raising funds to support this great cause.
