ActivePipe wins big at the Australian Business Awards 2018

For the second year running, Melbourne-based automated communications platform ActivePipe has been named a winner in the Technology Innovation, Marketing Innovation and Software Innovation categories of the prestigious Australian Business Awards.

The win continues the growth the company has enjoyed over the last 12 months with their platform, which allows agents to streamline communication channels with their customers.

According to CEO Ashley Farrugia, the win shows that the company is on the right path with their offerings.

“Innovation in our world is when your users are expecting you to come up with the next feature, now. It is amazing how many platforms I have seen that have been built directly off the back of client feature requests. This leads to a poor UX because you’re building a platform with specific features for each of your users,” Mr Farrugia said.

“At ActivePipe we look five years ahead and think about the problem we are trying to solve. I feel extremely proud of our team, as our culture is all about trust and empowering our staff to do great things without being micromanaged. You can’t build beautiful tech if your staff don’t love their jobs.”

The ActivePipe platform aims to increase service standards with automated communication journeys delivered on a real estate agent’s behalf, allowing them to nurture contacts with relevant and timely information at each stage of the property journey.

The predictive algorithms create dynamic call lists, helping real estate agents sift through contacts in their database and identify immediate pipeline opportunities within it.

“With technology rapidly evolving, it is essential that organisations remain ahead of the curve by continuously exploring and embracing new technologies and investing in the education, training and development of their workforce in order to remain competitive,” Australian Business Awards Program Director Tara Johnston said.

“We believe in using cutting-edge technology which allows us to build smarter products. We’ve invested in machine learning and AI and been able to move fast with cutting-edge practices in containerisation,” ActivePipe Chief Technology Officer Michael Messig said.

Now in their thirteenth year, The Australian Business Awards program offers national and international recognition for high-performing organisations that implement world-class business initiatives and develop innovative products and services. Each year the ABA100 Winners are honoured for their commitment to business and product innovation, and for their achievements in transforming business practices and end-user experiences.
